同僚と昼食を取りながら、買うときは読む気満々だが、手に入ってしまうと積んだままという運命になった本が増えてしかたないねという、いつもの話になった。
今日は本棚の以前一度だけ読んだもの、殆ど読んでないもの等から、これから本気で読む気になる本を抽出した。
同僚が英語の使い手だということもあって、先ず、英語の本を７冊。殆どが充分に日焼けしている。

同僚との会話の行方からは村上春樹氏絶賛の"The Great Gatsby"からスタートすべきなのだが、いかにも冒頭部分で挫折しそうなので保留ということに。
